Yogurt Curry with Rice(Kadhi Chawal)

Yogurt Curry with Rice(Kadhi Chawal) is a pure Pakistani Dish.It is specially made in Punjabi Families in villages specially.A simple and healthy recipe that if you once make will surely make it over and over.

Ingredients 

For Yogurt Curry:

Yogurt 1-1/4 cup
Gram Flour 3 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Red Chilli 4 
Crushed Red Pepper 2 tbsp
Salt as per Taste
Tumeric 1 tbsp
Grinded Red Pepper 1 tbsp
Corriander Powder 1 tbsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp

For Pakodas/Potato Chips:

Gram Flour 2/3 cup
Red Pepper 1 tsp
Baking Soda 1/2tsp
Chopped Onion 1 medium size
Chopped Potato 1 big size
Green chilli 4
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

For Rice:

Rice 1 cup
Water 1 cup
Salt as per taste
Oil 1/4 cup

Procedure:

First of all grind Yogurt ,Gram Flour,Red,Crushed Red Pepper ,Salt ,Tumeric ,Grinded Red Pepper ,Corriander Powder,Cumin Seeds .Pour them in a deep pot and let it cook for 25 minutes on medium flame while stirring constantly.

In another bowl mix Gram Flour ,Red Pepper ,Baking Soda,Chopped Onion 1 medium size, Chopped Potato 1 big size, Green chilli and Salt.Leave it for 10 minutes.Heat oil in a pan on medium flame.Deep fry the mixed batter in small portions for 10- 15 minutes.Transfer it to plate.Your pakodas are ready.

Pour all the pakodas/Potato Chips  in yogurt curry mixture and let it cook for 10 minutes on low flame.Then dish out it and garnish with corriander leaves and cumin seeds.Your yogurt curry is ready to serve.

For rice,wash out rice and leave for 25 minutes.Rinse it out.Heat oil in a pan.Add water and salt and let it boil.Add drained rice in it and let it cook for 10 minutes while the lid is covered.Your rice are ready.serve it with Yogurt curry.Also Try Egg Toast.
