Tawa kaleji ,a famous Food street specially available at night.Its a roadside chicken Liver recipe.Make this for your children.Enjoy with Tawa Naan.


Chicken Liver 1/2 kg
Yogurt 1 cup
Crushed Red Pepper 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
coriander powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp

Salt as per taste
Lemon Juice
Green ChilliĀ 6
Tomato 1 cup
Sliced Onion 1 cup
Fresh coriander Leaves


Wash Chicken Liver/Kaleji well because nothing is more important than your family’s health. After this Grind the spices which include 1 tbsp crushed red pepper,1 tbsp cumin seeds and Tawa Kaleji1 tbsp coriander powder. Then Marinate Chicken Liver/Kaleji with yogurt and grinded spices for 20 minutes. Heat oil in a pan.Add onions in oil and saute until it gets soft. After that Add tomato and then marinated kaleji in it. Cook for 20 minutes. Moreover Add lemon juice,salt,Green chilis and fresh coriander leaves in it. Now cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes. If you feel Kaleji is a bit raw still,cook it further for 2-3 minutes on high flame. When it is done turn off the flame. Then finally transfer it to the serving plate. Garnish it with Lemon and Onion slices and serve with chapatis andĀ Salad.
