Spicy Garlic Potato

Spicy Garlic Potato is definitely a vegeterian recipe with an amazing combo of Spices.If you are a vegeterian but want to eat something super duper delicious and spicy but purely vegeterian then make this recipe for your family.Kids usually dont like to eat vegetables but this is a recipe they would love to eat it.Make it for their lunch boxes with Parathas.

Ingredients:

Oil 1/2 cup
Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
Red chillies 2-4
Garlic paste 2 tbsp
Onion 2 large
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Tomatoes 2 large
Green Chillies 4-5
Red crushed pepper 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Potatoes 5-6 medium sized.
Lemon Juice 2 tbsp
Water as required
Garam Masala 1 tbsp
Fenugreek Leaves/Kasuri Meethi tbsp

Procedure

Spicy Garlic Potato

In a pan take excess water and let it boil.Wash 5-6 medium sized potatoes very well.Then add this to the boiling water.Let it boil.When potatoes are boiled transfer it into any strainer to strain excess water.Leave aside.

Heat oil in a pan.Add 1tbsp cumin seeds and 2-4 red chillies.Then dry roast for 2-4 minutes.Add 2 tbsp garlic paste.Let it roast for 4-5 minutes or until garlic turned into golden brown. Now add two cups of chopped onions.Saute it for 4-5 minutes until translucent.Add 1 tbsp coriander powder.Add two cups of chopped tomatoes and green chillies in it.Add 1 tbsp red crushed pepper in it.Then add one tbsp salt in it.For the better taste of gravy add 1 tsp of turmeric powder.Add boiled potatoes in it.Add two tbsp lemon juice.Squeeze lemon without the seeds.

If necessary add some water in it.Let it cook and add 1 tbsp garam masala in it.Then add 1 tbsp of fenugreek leaves.You can add dried as well as fresh leaves.Let it cook on low flame while the lid is covered.After 5 minutes check if water is dried transfer it into a serving dish.Serve with paratha/chappati.You can serve it in breakfast as well as in lunch.To enhance its taste serve it with Imli Ki chatni .Grabb its complete video recipe here.
