For Kofty

Lauki 1/2 kg
Water 2 cups
Salt as per Taste
Onion 1 small
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
Garam Flour/Besan 2 tbsp
Garam Masala Powder 1 tbsp
Red crushed pepper 1 tbsp
Oil as required for frying

For Gravy

Onion 1 medium size
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
Tomato 1 medium size
Yogurt 2 tbsp


For Kofta

Boil 1/2 kg grated Lauki in excess amount of water with 1 tbsp of salt.In a separate bowl add 1 small chopped onion,grated boiled Lauki,1 tbsp Red crushed pepper,1 tbsp Garam masala powder,Garam Flour and 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.Mix well.Garam Flour/Besan will give the binding forcw to the balls batter/kofta batter.Make small ball out of it.You can keep these Lauki k kofty in refirgerator for 4-5 days. You can also fry it immediately.For frying Heat Oil in a pan.Add these Lauki k kofty carefully in this hot oil.Don’t flip its side until you feel it is sticking to the pan.Flip the side of Lauki k kofty carefully. Deep fry these balls until golden brown on medium flame for 7-10 minutes maximum.Transfer it into plate.

For Gravy

In a blender add 1 medium size onion ,1 medium size tomato, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp yogurt and blend into a fine paste.Heat 1/2 cup oil in a pan. Add this gravy to this and cook for 15 minutes.After 15 minutes when oil comes above add Kofta with a lot of care to this gravy.Cover the lid and let it cook for 10 minutes further.Transfer it to serving Dish.Enjoy with Paratha ,Chapati or Rice and forget about Meat Balls.
