Aaloo Baingan Chawal

Aaloo Baingan Chawal is a famous Punjab Dish.Aaloo Baingan or Brinjal is served as a side dish also with Chapatti.But in punjab People to eat Aaloo Baingan with Boiled Rice.So if You didnt make it till try this recipe and enjoy!!

Ingredients

Brinjal/Baingan 1/2 kg
Potaoe 1/2 kg
Tomato 2 large
Green Chillies 4-6
Onion 2 medium
Oil half cup
Salt as per taste
Red chilli 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tbsp
Water if needed

Procedure

Saute 2 medium sized chopped Onion in half cup of oil.Add 2 chopped large tomatoes and green chillies in it.Let it cook until it gets soft or tilll the tomatoe becomes paste.Then according to your taste add 1 tbsp salt in it.Add 1 tbsp Red chilli and 1 tsp Turmeric Powder.Then mix it well and let it cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes only.

Meanwhile Wash 1/2 kg Brinjal/Baingan and 1/2 kg Potatoes very well. Remember nothing is more important than your family’s health.Thats why wash every vegetable,meat or anything you brought from Market.Vendors sprinkle chemicals on vegetables .You must have to wash it to remove that chemicals.

When the gravy is ready add Brinjal/Baingan in it.Then Mix it well and let it cook for 5 -5 minutes.Add 1 tbsp coriander powder and 1 tsp garam masala in it.Then add sliced potatoes in it.Mix it and cover it with a lid.Let it cook for at least 15 minutes on Dam on medium flame.

After 15  minutes check whether the baingan turned into a thick gravy or not. If it is then turned off the flame.Transfer it into a serving dish.You can serve this amazing and traditional delicious recipe with Chapatti as well as with Boiled Rice.Its complete video recipe is given here.Find more rice recipes here.
